The magnets used for the moving doors in Unstable One are set to work even under small pressure, allowing the user to place small objects safely on the kneeling table.

The UnsTable
The project originates from the overwhelming problem of bulky waste and overly cluttered interiors. Despite creating modern, appealing furniture they still end up being thrown away too soon.
Sensory illusion can promote emotional attachment and therefore lengthen the product’s life. ‘The UnsTable’s’ kneeling mechanism, influenced by zoomorphism, creates the illusion of a living creature.
The table kneels for you, to create a fun yet practical surface for eating, working or even resting.

Its simplicity is helping the user to easily place it in the interior and keep it tidy.

Unstable is a product created mainly for single individuals, who live in a small space and appreciate the comfort of minimal design with multi-functional properties.
It allows the user to enjoy it as a standard, coffee table or work desk and dining furniture.

DEVELOPMENT
From inspiration to the actual product there has been a couple of changes in the design. From just wanting it to look unstable, to actually taking a risk and making the table work at an angle.
